Special Note to Grade 8 Students
Board of Education Policy requires that eligibility for 9th grade activities (athletic and non-athletic) be dependent upon final grades of 8th grade. Specifically the policy states, "To be eligible to participate in any interscholastic team representing Newington High School or to participate in non-athletic activities, a student must be passing the five major courses that meet daily at the end of the 8th grade year to be eligible for participation in the fall of 9th grade." Copies of report cards are sent to Newington High School at the end of June each year.
